Allende's book of recipies is not what some readers, like myself, might expect from the author of such good pieces of literature as The House of Spirits and The Infinite Plan (to name just two). Unlike Laura Esquivel, author of Like Water for Chocolate, Allende did not accomplished a work that put together the art of cooking and sensuality and still can be call literature, just a simple book of recipies. It can be said that part of the content of this book consists of some recycle material from previous works by Allende. However, the selection of the ilustrations and the art work is very good (and the edition certainly atractive).

Nada como el disfrutar de los pequenos placeres que la vida misma nos ofrece y que tenemos al alcanze de la mano. La pasion que tanto buscamos fuera de nosotros esta ahi, dentro de cada uno esperando ser rescatada del limbo al que la destinamos por el simple miedo de experimentar y ser sencillamente nosotros.

Como buena Peruana siempre he tenido gran respeto y admiraci�n por la Se�ora Allende , me parece realmente �ncreible como puede definir con tal exactitud la descripci�n de las cosas. Afrodita un libro claramente lleno de afrodis�acos pero tambi�n an�cdotas que pueden hacer a m�s de uno sonreir en el recuerdo. Learn to use tools like Git, Bash, regular expressions and databases. Then use your new coding skills to build a web scraper. 4. Study Computer Science fundamentals including computer architecture, data structures, algorithms and network programming. 5. Learn to program for production: I cover the software development process, testing, and best coding practices. 6. Finish with tips for working with a team and landing a programming job. Having two kids with plenty of bills to pay, I don't have the time or money for school, so I was looking for some resources for learning to code. This book is concise and to the point learning. You learn quickly with lots of example programs and challenges. Cory keeps the simple steps of programming at the beginning of the book and leads you through the tougher concepts of object oriented programming towards the end of the book. Its a short book, so if you want to expand your knowledge about a particular subject, all you have to do is go online. He gives lots of tips for anyone who wants a career change or if you are just out of school looking for work.

For 2.99, this is one of the best three dollars that you will ever spend. This is a great book to start programming with, and for three dollars? It's a no-brainer. This books teaches you the basics of programming with python, and then expands into more advanced subjects, on top of teaching you about OOP, functional programming, ect.. Buy this book, you will not regret it.

Overall a solid read for self starters!

I am a self taught (mostly) designer trying to learn a bit of programming. I found the author's writing to be easy to read but also informative. I was worried that the technical nature of the book may cause the content to go over my head but Althoff did a good job of breaking down for us beginners. His personal anecdotes and accounts of his journey made the content very relatable and helped break up the tech talk too. Overall a solid read for self starters.
