Stealing the Show

This kindle edition is part of the Joy Berry series designed to help parents define, explain and eliminate common bad habits often displayed by young children. In this book two friends, Karen and Lennie talk about stealing. Karen decides that Lennie does not need all his candy so she decides to steal some of it. As with other books in the series, the author defines the negative behavior, explains the possible causes and effects of the behavior and suggests how the child might replace it with positive behavior. So instead of berating a child, the author talks about why the behavior is not the best choice, how the other person feels, and suggests what you should do to remedy whatever harm has been done. Pictures are done in cartoon format with speech bubbles. In this kindle edition, some impact is lost because the pictures are so small. Still the book is well done and a valuable teaching resource.

Great book for kids and parents

Such a great book for kids and adults to read together!! Joy Berry has a wonderful way of bringing things to a kids level to help them understand things better. Sometimes as an adult we forget kids see and process the world differently than us.
Beautifully illustrated to help kids pay attention while learning valuable life lessons!
This series is wonderful for any home or classroom! I want them for he community center where I work!! I am also thrilled they are being made available as ebooks!!

Great book for kids

I bought this book to help my daughters to understand difficult subject as stealing.
I was surprised how great book it is! Author explains with simple language what stealing is, why some people are doing it and why it is bad. My girls enjoyed this book and they really loved the illustrations!
Will recommend this book to any parent with small kids.
